Can you call A men fashionista?
For a few years I`ve been wondring what type of words I can use instead of fashionista for a men,
it`s kind of hard to find diffrent definition in the first place
I`m kind of person who`s interested in style, art and fashion so can i just call myself Charles Fashionista?
From first perspektiv and reaction its queit reprehensible for male
But I did the research and guess what! You have so many right as a female to call yourself a fashionista!
A few of you probably wondering why? it doesn`t fit at all!
Maybe but the fact is
The word `fashionista` has Latin and Italian roots. The -ista suffix comes to English from Latin. The "-ista" ending, ex. "chitarrista" (guitarist ), "pianista" , etc. doesn`t change regardless of whether the person it describes is male or female.
So while in Italia a male teacher is a "professore" and female is a "professora", male fashionista is still fashionista, just as Elthon John is a "pianista" or Miles Davis a "jazzista"
Therfore the term `fashionista` can apply to both males and females!
But of course it is up to you if you wanna use this form whatsoever
word fashionista is unisex
